What's Included
Every equestrian order at Lapeer Laundry is washed, dried and prepared by hand. Waterproofing is an optional add-on.
Washing
Every order includes a double wash, air-dry, Velcro cleaning, folding, packaging and labeling. This is a mandatory service and is added to every order. We use NIKWAX products.
Waterproofing
Long-lasting protection for your turnout gear, recommended at least every other year. Waterproofing is available exclusively for turnout blankets, sheets & hoods.
Custom Laundry Bags
Our sturdy 30"×40" reusable laundry bags hold 2–5 blankets and include an area for your contact information. Bags are washed free of charge when included with your laundry order.

What is the turnaround time for horse blanket cleaning?
Most orders take about one week. Turnaround varies with weather, time of year and order size, and orders are processed in the order received — we do not offer rush service.

Service Policies
By using our equestrian services you acknowledge and agree to the following.
Order forms must be filled out with a staff member at the time of drop-off. Waterproofing requires client approval via written initials.
All items dropped off are washed. Items are washed before waterproofing — no exceptions. All items receive 2 wash cycles; on rare occasions, heavily soiled items may require a third cycle, which incurs a $10 fee. Washing/laundering is considered normal wear and tear. Lapeer Laundry is not liable for pre-existing damage, reasonable wear, discoloration/fading, or damage that may occur or worsen.
Waterproofing treatments are applied according to manufacturer instructions to enhance protection and maintain breathability. Treatments — including NIKWAX Rug Proof — do not guarantee full waterproofing in heavy rain. Effectiveness depends on the age, condition and quality of the blanket fabric, and results may vary. Clients acknowledge that full restoration or complete waterproofing is not guaranteed. Lapeer Laundry is not responsible for waterproofing failures.
Orders are processed in the order received; rush orders are not provided. Turnaround time may vary due to weather, time of year and the size of orders. Lapeer Laundry is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items outside of our possession and not within our laundering facility.
Payment is due immediately, with a 5-day grace period from the invoice issue date. Payment must be received prior to pick-up of the order. Payment arrangements must be made prior to the invoice due date. A late fee of 5% of the outstanding balance will be applied to any unpaid balance after the grace period.
Items not picked up within 30 days of the invoice due date are considered abandoned, to the extent permitted by Michigan law, regardless of payment status. After this period, Lapeer Laundry has no obligation to store such items and may handle or dispose of them at its discretion. If any items remain available, clients must retrieve them from Lapeer Laundry. Clients acknowledge that storage beyond the 30-day period is not guaranteed and failure to retrieve items may result in permanent loss.
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the listed policies. Liability is limited to the cost of the individual service provided. Lapeer Laundry reserves the right to refuse service at our discretion, provided such refusal complies with applicable laws and regulations.
